Las Tunas Railway Train Station
Getting the train in Cuba can be both an amusing and frustrating pastime. For some odd reason it’s one of those indelible memories youll make in Cuba and we highly recommend giving it a shot. The train station in Las Tunas is right next to the Baseball stadium called Estadio Julio Antonio Mella on the northeast side of the town center. The faster non-stop Havana to Santiago de Cuba called the Tren Francés doesn’t stop in Las Tunas so you’re left with slower, less reliable services if you are looking for a stopover in Las Tunas station. Trains to Havana (via Camaguey and Santa Clara) leave on odd-numbered days; the service to Santiago leaves on even-numbered days. There are daily services to both Camaguey and Holguin City. We recommend double-checking the timetables and prices when you arrive in Cuba and just before you depart.
