El Baturro is the Las Tunas equivalent of the Bodegita del Medio in Old Havana. Much like its Havana based homologue, diners make their presence known by writing short messages on the restaurants walls. Therefore, the walls are covered in scribbled prose, love notes and even some eulogies to the murdered Chilean troubadour Victor Jara. But El Baturro is not just a gimmick; the food is exceptional and better than average Cuban cooking, including a mouthwatering rabbit dish, making this probably the best place to dine in Las Tunas.
